Prom Dates From Hell by Rosemary Clement-Moore
"Sharp writing and a satirical portrayal of the high school social scene make this an enjoyable read in the vein of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
— School Library Journal
When all of the most popular kids in school start having serious accidents it seems that there is something beyond clumsiness causing the problems. Maggie is a psychic chic who would rather not deal with the situation, but it seems like she has no choice when an ancient threatens to take over the prom.

Getting the Girl by Susan Juby
Mack wants to save the girl that he likes from being “Defiled”. Defiling is a tradition at his high school. A girl’s name goes up on the bathroom wall, and the next thing anyone knows she is defiled. No one talks to her or looks at her. Even the teachers forget that these girls are alive. The premise of the story, defiling, is awful, but this is a funny story about a guy who loves girls, private investigation, and food. It’s interesting and grabs your attention from the first page. I think guys will relate to the main character and girls will like seeing things from a guy’s point of view.
